Drivers of heavy construction site machinery will be able to attend a new training course

Drivers of heavy construction site machinery will be able to attend a new training course at the Mid-Warwickshire College of Further Education in Leamington. The first weeks session was attended by nine plant operators employed by Warwickshire County Council and major construction and quarrying firms. " It has been a most successful pilot project, " said Mr. Robert Rattray, leader of the maintenance and plant repair section of the college. " We now hope there will be a big response from the construction industry, keen to send plant operators on the course, so that we can extend our training facilities." Our photo shows Mr Rattray(centre) with the students who were taking part in the basic training course at the college.
