Born in Tylorstown, Wales on on May 15th 1892 and dying in Cardiff on on March 10th 1969 He fought an estimated 500 fights for Jack Scarrott in the Booths before taking to the ring as a profesional with 156 contests winning 99 by knockouts with 13 being British, European and World tittle fights
