Designer Alexander McQueen bows out of London Fashion Week with a show on ice, his show was inspired by Stephen Kings novel The Shining, in which a psychotic killer is on the loose in a frozen waste.
The show was staged on a frozen pond made from 25 tons of ice encased by 20ft high plexiglass walls and built in a transport depot in Londons Victoria.
As a finale, Marika Humphries, the former three-times national ice skating champion, skated on to stage at the head of a corps de ballet to perform a waltz
