Lights, camera... but very little action. That was the scene as a camera crew filmed " Keeping up Appearances", a pilot TV comedy, at a Coventry house. Filming took place at the home of Tony and Rose Healey in Heather Road, Binley Woods. The bungalow was chosen in a nationwide search as the " perfect" home for the shows main character, Hyacinth Bucket played by Patricia Routledge. Director Harold Snoad explained: " Shes a pernickity-sort of woman who wants everything to be just right. There are several scenes when she is talking to her neighbours. This house is ideal." Actress Patricia Routledge stands under the umbrella with Rose Healey.
