EDITORS COMMENTS
The Spring Weather Really Gets Him Down. Mahon, a six-year-old rhinoceros at Whipsnado Zoo, wasn't exactly thrilled with the sudden change in weather. As the scorching heat of the hottest day this year hit London, Mahon couldn't help but express his dissatisfaction to his keeper Albert Rogers. With a hint of sarcasm and humor in his eyes, Mahon jokingly asked Albert if he could offer him a cup of tea on such an incredibly hot day. He knew that nothing would cool him down like a nice muddy pool stretching up to his cars, accompanied by the soothing buzz of gnats around him. Only then could he truly enjoy a cozy snooze. It was quite an unusual sight to witness this adorable rhinoceros longing for some relief from the sweltering temperature. The mercury had risen to 65 degrees in the shade, making it the hottest day since October 25 last year. This heartwarming photo captures not only Mahon's playful personality but also highlights the unique bond between animals and their keepers. Despite being creatures from different worlds, they find ways to connect through shared experiences and lighthearted moments. Taken in March 1950 at Whipsnado Zoo, this image showcases both cute animal antics and human-animal friendships that transcend boundaries.
