Animals - Cats with Dogs: Daisys Duo Is Just Puppy Love. Three-year-old Tortoishell cat " Daisy" had just lost her litter of kittens, they had all been born dead. But, a neighbours Dog had just given birth to a litter of pups, and she was refusing to look after them. So Daisys owner Heidi Butcher decided to try get her to feed two of the pups. The Vet told her it was unlikely to work. But Heidi wrapped the pups in the blanket that the kittens had been in, and the next day Daisy had taken to them as if they were her own offspring! Now, after six weeks, the pups are almost ready to fend for themselves. Heidi has found homes for them. The only problem is how to take them away from Daisy. March 1985 P013968
