The image is taken from Joshua Hamilton's Culpeper's English Family Physician; or Medical Herbal, published in London in 1792. The work was an enlarged edition of the original herbal by the famous English herbalist, Nicholas Culpeper, with several hundred additional plants added from Sir John Hill.
