Suffragette Arson Bristol
Suffragette Arson Bristol. The ruins of the University Boat House and sports pavilion in Eastleigh Park, Bristol. Early in the morning of 24th October 1913, a group of militant suffragettes, members of the W.S.P.U, set fire to the building at Coombe Dingle, owned by the University of Bristol. Later that day, the students mounted a revenge attack on the W.S.P.U offices in the city. Date: 1913
