This evocative print captures the poignant moment of the Mexican army's triumphant advance on the Alamo Mission in San Antonio, Texas, on March 27, 1836. The Battle of the Alamo, a pivotal event in the Texas Revolution, marked the end of the Mexican occupation of the mission and resulted in the deaths of all defenders, including famous figures such as Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie.
