This exquisite miniature, created by the renowned French illuminator, A. Verard, in 1490, depicts King Arthur and his knights gathered at the legendary Round Table in Camelot. The Round Table, a symbol of unity and equality among Arthur's knights, is depicted here with a central, empty seat reserved for the yet-to-arrive Lancelot du Lac.
