Borley Rectory, a notoriously haunted house in Essex, England, was the subject of intense investigation and intrigue during the late 1920s and 1930s. This set of notes, dated between 1929 and 1939, provides a fascinating insight into the strange happenings reported at the rectory, which was believed to be haunted by the ghost of a medieval nun named Marianne. The rectory, located in the small village of Borley, had a long history of unexplained phenomena, including apparitions, strange noises, and mysterious messages.
