Mr Arthur Thomas Quiller-Couch, writer, (21 November 1863 ?? 12 May 1944) caricature illustration of the writer as a young man. Quiller-Couch was born in Bodmin, educated and later taught at Oxford, and lived in Fowey, Cornwall. He is renowned for The Oxford Book of English Verse, for literary criticism, and novels. Also known as Q, he was knighted 1910 for services to literature, and made a Bard of Gorseth Kernow in 1928. Date: 1895
