Tunney's scientific approach to boxing, combined with his intelligence and tactical skills, earned him the respect of fans and peers alike. Joe Louis, the "Brown Bomber," took the heavyweight crown from Braddock in 1937 and held it until 1949. Louis was a dominant force in the ring, known for his devastating punching power and unyielding determination. James J. Braddock, the "Cinderella Man," defied the odds to become the heavyweight champion in 1935.
