This evocative sketch captures the charm and character of the Duke of Clarence pub in Notting Hill, London, as it looked prior to its closure in 2001. The pub, which was rebuilt in 1938, is depicted here with its distinctive red brick facade, ornate details, and inviting frontage. The Duke of Clarence was a beloved local institution, a place where friends gathered over a pint and stories were shared. Sadly, the pub was demolished in 2003, making way for new development. Today, the site is home to Duke of Clarence Court, but the memories of this cherished pub live on.
