The Senegal Bushbaby is also known as the Senegal Galago or the Southern Greater Galago. This engraving is taken from Rene Primevere's "Lessons Complements de Buffon," published by Pourrat Freres in Paris in 1838. Buffon's "Lessons" were an essential contribution to the field of natural history, providing accurate and detailed illustrations of various species, many of which were produced using the latest techniques in printmaking.
