The botanical illustration was created by David Blair and expertly reproduced as a lithograph by Hanhart for the publication "Medicinal Plants" by Robert Bentley and Henry Trimen in London, 1880. The Hemlock Water Dropwort is a perennial herb native to Europe, western Asia, and northern Africa.
