Equipped with eight powerful engines, this aircraft could reach speeds of up to 375 miles per hour and was armed with a battery of eight 20mm Hispano cannon and four 500lb bombs. No.56 Squadron RAF, based at RAF Gravesend in Kent, England, was one of the most decorated and successful squadrons of the war.
