Newgrange Tumulus, also known as Brugh Na Boinne, is a magnificent megalithic monument located in the heart of County Meath, Republic of Ireland. This ancient site, believed to be around 5,000 years old, is adorned with intricate carvings and is renowned for its impressive corbelled entrance. In this photograph, taken circa early 1900s, we are offered a closer view of the entrance to Newgrange Tumulus. The intricate detailing of the stones, each carefully placed to form this architectural marvel, is on full display. The entrance is framed by two large stones, with smaller stones delicately stacked above, creating a corbelled effect.
