Born on November 9, 1841, Alexandra of Denmark was the daughter of Christian IX of Denmark and Louise Rasmussen-Løwenborg. She married Prince Albert Edward, the eldest son of Queen Victoria, on March 10, 1863, and became the Queen Consort of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions and Empress of India upon her husband's ascension to the throne in 1901. Edward VII, who was born on November 9, 1841, was the eldest son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. He became the Prince of Wales in 1857 and assumed the throne on January 22, 1901, following his mother's death. His reign, which lasted until his death in 1910, was marked by a more relaxed and modern approach to the monarchy, as well as a renewed interest in the arts and culture. The couple's relationship was known for its deep affection and devotion. Alexandra was a strong and supportive wife, and her love and loyalty to her husband were unwavering. Together, they faced numerous challenges, including the loss of their eldest son, Prince Albert Victor, in 1892, and the death of their youngest son, Prince John, in 1910.
