Charles de Valois, Comte d'Auvergne and Duc d'Angouleme (1573-1650), was a natural son of King Charles IX of France, born out of his father's liaison with Marie Touchet, the Marquise de Blainville. Despite his illegitimate birth, Charles was recognized and raised by his father, who granted him the titles and estates of Comte d'Auvergne and Duc d'Angouleme.
