Wheatstone's other notable inventions include the telegraph sounder, which was used to detect Morse code signals, and the concertina, a versatile musical instrument. His work in the field of physics also included studies on the properties of sound and the development of the first electric violin. Despite his numerous accomplishments, Wheatstone remained humble and dedicated to advancing knowledge. He was a fellow of the Royal Society and received numerous accolades throughout his life, including the Royal Medal and the Copley Medal.
