The year is likely to be around AD 122, during the reign of Emperor Hadrian, as the fort was established around this period. The Roman soldiers, clad in meticulously crafted armour, are seen intently focusing on their drill instructor, poised to execute his commands. Each soldier wears a lorica segmentata, a type of armour made of rectangular iron plates, which covered the chest, back, and arms.
