This print showcases a significant piece of history - the Tuskegee Airman flight jacket worn by Lt. Col. Woodrow W. Crockett in 1942. The Tuskegee Airmen, a group of courageous African-American fighter and bomber pilots, played a crucial role in World War II. The Type A-2 leather jacket, crafted by Aero Leather Clothing Co. , exudes strength and resilience with its dark brown exterior and fabric lining. It features snap-flap patch pockets on either side of the waist-level zipper, along with knit cuffs and waistband for added comfort. CROCKETT] - elegantly stamped in dark letters. Just below it lies another rectangular leather patch embossed with the US Army Air Forces pilot insignia; two feathered wings extending from a striped shield symbolize their dedication to protecting our nation.
