"The Winegrower: A Timeless Tradition" Step back in time to the 17th century as we explore the world of a winegrower. Dressed in a vintner's outfit, this Italian winegrower from Cinque Terre, Manarola, takes us on a journey through history. In an enchanting vineyard of Forlini Capellini, surrounded by vibrant grapes, we witness the dedication and passion that goes into cultivating these precious fruits. A historic greetings card captures a couple standing proudly amidst their vineyard, with text exclaiming "Girl I am so good. " Indeed, their hard work pays off. However, not all days are filled with fortune. As fate would have it, bad luck strikes when the handle on the basket carrying wine bottles snaps and shatters them into pieces. Yet even in moments of despair, true resilience shines through. Occupations from the 16th century come alive as we see winegrowers treading the wine-press depicted in Nehemiah xiii:15. Their laborious efforts bring forth exquisite flavors cherished for generations. Grape harvests hold a special place in winemaking history. In a drawing depicting Daphnis and Chloe from 1895, we glimpse at the meticulous process behind creating fine wines – each grape handpicked with care. Professions immortalized within stained glass windows at Chartres Cathedral reveal that winemakers have been revered since ancient times. The artistry captured within these chromolithos showcases their integral role in society. Yet sometimes adversity strikes beyond measure. Thousands of hectolitres of champagne dispersed and destroyed for revenge; an unfortunate incident documented through color litho reveals how deeply intertwined winemakers are with French culture. Out-of-time carnival celebrations transport us to joyous festivities where communities gather to honor their beloved wines. Amidst colorful lithos capturing these lively events emerges unity among those who share a love for winemaking.
