Exploring the Western Division: A Journey through Gambia's Wildlife Wonderland In the enchanting month of March, amidst the vibrant landscapes of Gambia's Western Division, a curious Callithrix Monkey caught our attention. With its adult frame and arm scratching antics, it seemed to embody the spirit of this captivating region. As we ventured further into this wildlife haven, we stumbled upon remarkable engravings that depicted tales from various expeditions. The Volunteer Review at Portsmouth engraving transported us back in time to witness an awe-inspiring display of naval prowess. The Beautiful Sunbird perched delicately on a twig showcased nature's artistic brilliance while the Bronze Munia gracefully stood tall on both stem and tap alike - reminding us that beauty can be found even in unexpected places. The Grey-headed Gull standing amongst seaweed on a beach painted a picturesque scene where land meets sea - an idyllic moment frozen in time. Meanwhile, witnessing a Cattle Egret quench its thirst from a dripping tap highlighted nature's adaptability amidst changing environments. Our expedition culminated with an encounter with an Abyssinian Roller perched regally on a branch - epitomizing grace and elegance against the backdrop of Gambia's Western Division in February.
