West Kameng, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. In the heart of Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, this picturesque region in Arunachal Pradesh, India offers breathtaking views and an abundance of unique flora and fauna. A Maroon-backed Accentor catches our attention as it perches gracefully in the undergrowth. Its vibrant colors contrasting with the surrounding greenery, showcasing its beauty. Another Maroon-backed Accentor stands confidently on the ground, displaying its elegance amidst the sanctuary's tranquility. As dawn breaks, we are treated to a mesmerizing view over sparsely vegetated upper slopes of mountains. The golden rays illuminating the landscape create a magical ambiance that is truly unforgettable. The White-browed Bush-robin makes an appearance on the road, its striking features captivating all who encounter it. A Yellow-cheeked Tit delicately balances on a twig nearby, adding a splash of color to this natural paradise. Evidence of elusive creatures can also be found here; Indian Leopard footprints left behind in pristine snow serve as a reminder of their presence within these untouched lands. Nature's cycle unfolds before our eyes as we witness large tracts of Bamboo succumbing to post-flowering die-back. Despite this loss, life continues to thrive within Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary. A Golden Bush-robin perched on a branch steals our breath away with its radiant plumage against lush surroundings. Meanwhile, a Green-tailed Sunbird feeds on tree sap - an intimate moment captured in time that showcases nature's delicate balance. In January's crisp air, we spot a Grey-headed Bullfinch perched high up in a bare tree - its vivid red feathers standing out against the winter backdrop. A Streak-breasted Scimitar-babbler joins us momentarily on another branch before disappearing into thick foliage once more. Lastly, we are graced by the presence of Collared Owlet with false eye markings on the rear of its head.
