"Weslake: A Legacy of Sidecar Racing Excellence" Since its inception, it has been synonymous with sidecar racing prowess. The year was 1972 when Bill Currie and F Haslam first showcased the power and agility of the Weslake machine in the 500 Sidecar TT. Their performance set a precedent for what was to come. In 1973, Derek Bayley and M Halsall took on the challenge of the 750 Sidecar TT, pushing the boundaries of speed and precision. Not far behind them were Eric Vant and Pauline Goddard, proving that teamwork knows no bounds when it comes to conquering the track. The following year saw Tony Greening and Roger Parker join forces aboard their trusty Weslake in the Sidecar 750 TT. Their determination paved the way for future champions like Roger Dixon and Francis Knights who left an indelible mark on history during that same race. But it wasn't just about male dominance in this exhilarating sport; Anja Brs and Diana Bouman made waves in 2009's Pre TT Classic event, showcasing their skillful handling of a Weslake machine. Breaking barriers both on and off-road, they proved that passion knows no gender. As time went on, new names emerged as legends within sidecar racing circles. Mal White & Phil Oliver displayed sheer grit during the 1975 Sidecar TT while Bill Currie continued his reign alongside Kenny Arthur not once but twice – first in '74 then again in '75 – leaving spectators awestruck by their unwavering dedication to victory. Alan May & Mick Gray brought home glory for Weslake in 1976's thrilling 1000cc Sidecar TT race. With every twist and turn conquered effortlessly by these skilled riders, it became clear that there was something truly special about a Weslake-powered sidecar.
