Drystone Walls of the North
Drystone Walls of the North - First-class drystone walling beside the River at Langdale in the Lake District: Many of the stones for the wall have been picked from the river-bed - a frequent occurrence in the Langdales. The dry summer of 1953 gave a good opportunity for walling by the river.
