A group of vervet monkeys, known scientifically as Cercopithecus sabaeus, were captured in various moments and locations across Africa. In the Western Division of Gambia in March, an adult vervet monkey was spotted scratching its arm, showcasing its natural behavior. Another close-up portrait taken at Kleins Camp in Serengeti, Tanzania revealed a vervet monkey staring directly into the camera with curiosity. In January, more sightings occurred in Gambia where adult vervet monkeys were seen looking up and giving us a close-up view of their expressive faces. The same month brought another encounter with both adult and juvenile vervets sitting together on the ground. Moving to Niokolo-Koba in Senegal during February, we witnessed these agile creatures feeding on ceiba tree flowers. Their faces covered with pollen added a touch of color to their already fascinating appearance. A female vervet monkey was also photographed nursing her young one. The vibrant scenes continued as young vervets perched on branches adorned with pollen-covered faces while others indulged themselves by feasting on ceiba tree flowers. These captivating images capture the essence of life for these Callithrix Monkeys (Cercopithecus sabaeus). From their playful interactions to their unique feeding habits, they provide us with glimpses into the daily lives of these remarkable primates found across different regions of Africa.
