"Uncovering the Past: A Glimpse into an Unknown Age" In a remote corner of Tarland, Aberdeenshire, lies a hidden treasure from 1925. Its long run has left it in need of a thorough clean-up, but its beauty remains intact. At Riding Mill Railway Station, Mr. J. D. Cram, the dedicated station master, is busy with a prize that holds unknown age and historical significance. Amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life, two manual workers diligently paint the exterior of a house on ladders. The black and white image captures their timeless craftsmanship. Paul Evans, a talented musician from North East Festivals Musician fame, launches the 21st Newcastle Jazz Festival - an event that transcends time and brings people together through music. Archaeologists toil tirelessly as they unearth not one but two skeletons from an ancient era. Their excavation work reveals secrets that have been buried for centuries. A poignant photograph taken on September 10th, 1985 shows a small child holding hands with one such skeleton - bridging the gap between past and present in an unexpected way. Mr. Benjamin Stafford proudly poses with his Fowler road locomotive at Beamish Museum - preserving history for future generations to admire and appreciate. Risking life without health and safety measures in place, a daring painter stands precariously atop handrails to complete his masterpiece - defying gravity for art's sake. On September 13th, Michael Charlton from Dudley showcases his beloved 1988 Burrell traction engine - reviving memories of bygone eras when steam ruled the roads. Youngsters like John Turner embrace their skateboarding craze as they try out thrilling moves across North East landscapes - blending modernity with echoes of an unknown age. In another snapshot frozen in time on June 2nd, 1972; Mr. Walter Hodson proudly stands beside the steam roller Highland Lass.
