The majestic Chub, scientifically known as Squalius / Leuciscus cephalus, can be found in various breathtaking locations. One such place is the Trme, Saane river tributary, where these fish gather on their spawning ground. In Croatia's Plitvice Lakes National Park, the European Chubb gracefully swims through caves, showcasing its beauty. In a fascinating display of nature's harmony, male Zander / Pikeperch (Stizostedion / Sander lucioperca) fiercely defends its nest alongside the Chub. These two species coexist and protect their young together. Witnessing the European chub and Bream (Abramis brama) shoal is truly a sight to behold. The Rhine River offers an enchanting view from above as we gaze upon the reflection of a bridge while observing Chubb swimming at the surface.
