Sestriere, the Italian Alpine resort, was a popular destination for Formula 1 fans in the late 1980s and early 1990s. From 1986 to 1991, the circuit at Sestriere hosted a total of 11 Formula 1 Grands Prix. The 1986 season saw Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost battle it out in the 1986 F1, with Senna taking the win. The following year, in 1987 F1, Nigel Mansell claimed victory. In 1989 F1, Gerhard Berger triumphed, while Senna returned to win again in 1986 F1. Prost, Mansell, and Senna all graced the podium multiple times at Sestriere. The 1991 F1 marked the final race at the circuit, with Nigel Mansell securing his last win there before retiring from F1. Sestriere's challenging and picturesque course became a cherished memory for Formula 1 fans and drivers alike.
