His paintings often depicted religious themes, such as scenes from the Bible or portraits of saints. However, he also ventured into more secular subjects, showcasing everyday life in Renaissance Italy. One of his most famous works is "The Annunciation," which beautifully captures the moment when the angel Gabriel announces to Mary that she will give birth to Jesus. In addition to painting, Pinelli Bartolameo was also skilled in sculpture. He created stunning marble statues that showcased his mastery of form and texture. His sculptures could be found in churches, palaces, and public squares throughout Italy. Despite his success during his lifetime, Pinelli Bartolameo's work fell out of favor after his death in 1523. It wasn't until centuries later that art historians rediscovered his contributions to Renaissance art and began to appreciate the beauty and skill evident in his creations.
