Red-Pied Pouter Cock Pigeon

A portrait of a Red-Pied Pouter Cock pigeon, (Pigmy Pouter), standing with a view of tree tops. One other of its kind can be seen flying in the background. The unsual features of this particular fancy breed pigeon are shown here, such as it's inflatable crop, it's distinctive colours and markings, and feathered feet. Date: circa 1880s
