The majestic Phasianus, also known as the Ring-Necked Pheasant, is a sight to behold. With its vibrant plumage and distinctive ring around its neck, this Common Pheasant never fails to catch the eye. In one snapshot, we see an alarmed Phasianus colchicus, its feathers ruffled in response to an unseen threat. Moving on to another image, we witness a male Phasianus colchicus calling out for attention amidst the serene landscape of Wittbulten National Park in the East Frisian Islands. Its voice echoes through the air, marking its territory with pride. In Hertfordshire, England, UK, a male Phasianus colchicus displays his magnificent plumage in an elaborate courtship ritual. His colorful feathers shimmer under the sunlight as he dances and struts his stuff. As dusk settles over the horizon, we capture a breathtaking moment of a male Phasianus colchicus flying gracefully towards its roosting spot. The silhouettes of trees create a stunning backdrop against which this bird finds solace at sunset. Hungary becomes our next destination where we encounter yet another Male Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus) flapping its wings vigorously during flight. Its powerful strokes carry it effortlessly through the sky while showcasing its strength and agility. Meanwhile at Pusztaszer reserve in Hungary during May's dawn chorus symphony of nature unfolds when a Common pheasant (Phasianus colchicus) spreads its wings wide open and calls out passionately into the wilderness - truly an enchanting melody that resonates throughout. Diving into illustrations from historical records brings us face-to-face with other members of this fascinating family.
