"Nuno S: Exploring the Underwater Wonders of Scotland and Madeira" In June 2009, Nuno S embarked on a mesmerizing journey to Mull, Scotland. As he delved into the depths of the ocean, he encountered a graceful jellyfish gently gliding through the water. The mystical allure of this creature left him in awe. Continuing his expedition, Nuno S found himself surrounded by an enchanting shoal of ornate wrasse off Deserta Grande in the Desertas Islands, Madeira. Their vibrant colors danced beneath the waves, creating a breathtaking spectacle that seemed straight out of a dream. But it was not just colorful fish that captivated Nuno's attention. He spotted a magnificent basking shark near Coll and Tiree Islands in Scotland. This gentle giant gracefully swam through the waters, leaving behind an indelible impression on Nuno's heart. As August 2009 rolled around, Nuno discovered an octopus perched upon rocks at Deserta Grande in Madeira. Its camouflaged beauty blended seamlessly with its surroundings as it showcased its incredible adaptability. Venturing further into these islands' secrets, Nuno stumbled upon Furna da gua cave - a sanctuary regularly visited by monk seals seeking refuge from their marine adventures. Witnessing these majestic creatures entering their hidden abode filled him with reverence for nature's wonders. Back in Mull once again during June 2009, Nuno witnessed two basking sharks swimming side by side - a rare sight indeed. These massive creatures moved effortlessly through the water like ancient guardians protecting their realm. Exploring Deserta Grande yet again in August 2009 revealed another marvel to behold - a nudibranch showcasing its intricate patterns and vibrant hues against an underwater backdrop that resembled paradise itself. Nearing his journey's end but still eager for more discoveries, Nuno came across a diamond lizardfish flaunting its impressive set of teeth at Deserta Grande.
