This wasn't his first rodeo though; Max had already made waves in previous years. In 1960, alongside Horst Hohler on their BMW machine, Max showcased his exceptional skills at the Sidecar TT. The duo left spectators in awe as they maneuvered through every twist and turn with precision and speed. Signpost Corner became a familiar sight for Max during the 1962 Sidecar TT. He fearlessly tackled this challenging section of the course, leaving competitors trailing behind him. Emil Hoerner joined forces with Max that year on their powerful BMW bike, proving to be an unstoppable team. The competition heated up in 1965 when Max once again took center stage at the Sidecar TT.
