The captivating beauty of magpie robins is truly a sight to behold. From the Seychelles Magpie Robin, with its striking appearance and graceful presence, to the Oriental Magpie-robin in various locations across Asia, these birds never fail to amaze. In Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka, an adult male Oriental Magpie-robin proudly perches on a branch with its tail cocked high. Its confident stance exudes elegance and charm. Meanwhile, an adult female of the same species calls out from another branch nearby, displaying her assertive nature. Moving on to Kaeng Krachan National Park in Thailand, we encounter more fascinating encounters. An adult female Oriental Magpie-robin sits gracefully on a twig while another male forages amongst fallen leaves on short grass. These scenes depict their adaptability and resourcefulness in finding sustenance. Further south in Sri Lanka during December, an adult male Copsychus saularis ceylonensis sings melodiously from a branch as if serenading nature itself. The enchanting melody fills the air and captures the hearts of all who listen. Not far away in Rajasthan's Ranthambore National Park and Keoladeo Ghana National Park (Bharatpur), India, these charismatic creatures continue to captivate observers. Perched delicately on twigs or branches, they showcase their vibrant plumage and sing their songs with passion. Lastly but not leastly is our encounter at Kaeng Krachan N. P. , Thailand once again where an adult male indulges in some delicious bananas at a birdtable while an adjacent female perches elegantly nearby with her tail cocked high. Whether it be through their stunning appearances or mesmerizing melodies, they have undoubtedly earned their place among nature's most remarkable creations. Their presence brings joy and wonder wherever they go – reminding us of the incredible diversity found within our natural world.
