Keith Trubshaw: A Manx Grand Prix Legend From the roaring engines to the adrenaline-fueled races, it has left an indelible mark on the world of motorcycle racing. Born with a passion for speed and a love for Yamaha bikes, his journey began in 1975 at the Senior Manx Grand Prix. Riding under Dugdale Maxton Yamaha's banner, Keith showcased his exceptional skills and determination as he blazed through the challenging course. The crowd held their breath as he crossed that finish line, securing his place amongst the greats. In 1979, Keith returned to the Isle of Man for another thrilling race - this time in the Junior Manx Grand Prix. Teaming up with Kev Riley and Joe Lindsay on their powerful Yamahas, they formed an unstoppable trio that dominated every twist and turn of the circuit. But it wasn't just about competing; Keith also played a pivotal role as a Travelling Marshal during various editions of these prestigious races. In 1987, he took charge of ensuring safety on those treacherous roads while witnessing firsthand the incredible talent displayed by fellow riders. Throughout his career, Keith's dedication led him to explore different avenues within motorsport. In 2000, he embraced his role as a Travelling Marshal once again but this time during TT races aboard Honda motorcycles. His commitment to keeping both riders and spectators safe was unwavering. The Senior and Junior Manx Grand Prix events continued to be significant milestones for Keith over subsequent years. With Maxton Yamaha in 1983 and Yamaha again in 1984, he fearlessly tackled each lap with unmatched precision and skill. Not one to shy away from new challenges or opportunities outside traditional racing formats either – in 1976 at Production TT event riding Honda bike – Keith proved himself adaptable across various disciplines within motorcycling world.
