"Himself, a Proud Member of Les Diables Bleus - 21st Regiment of the Chasseurs Alpins" In the midst of World War I, amidst the chaos and turmoil, stood a group of brave warriors known as Les Diables Bleus - A group of WWI Chasseurs Alpins. Among them was himself, a soldier who embodied resilience and courage. Resting after an arduous mission were two chasseurs from the renowned 27e Battalion de Chassuers Alpins. Their tired bodies found solace in each other's company, knowing that their sacrifices were not in vain. As an Eastern proverb wisely states: "A fool never admires himself so much as when he has committed some folly. " This reflection resonated with himself, reminding him to learn from his mistakes and grow stronger with every challenge faced on the battlefield. Just like Benozzo Gozzoli's self-portrait captured in litho form from the fresco in Florence's Riccardi Palace Chapel, himself understood the importance of self-expression and leaving behind a legacy for future generations to admire. Marching proudly alongside his comrades were Les Diables Bleus - The Blue Devils. With unwavering determination etched on their faces, they patrolled Mediterranean roads under scorching sun or pouring rain. They knew that their duty was crucial for maintaining peace and security. Whether it be through Jane Austen's enchanting novels such as Pride and Prejudice or Northanger Abbey or Emma depicted beautifully in colour litho illustrations; himself found solace within these literary masterpieces during rare moments of respite. These tales transported him to worlds far beyond war-torn landscapes, offering temporary refuge from reality. Amidst mountain camps where camaraderie thrived among fellow soldiers belonging to Chasseurs Alpins; Les Diables Bleus became his second family. Together they endured the harshest conditions, relying on each other for strength and support.
