Harpo (born Leonard Harry Gordon, 1903-1964) was a legendary American comedian and musician, best known for his long tenure as a clown in the circus troupe of the Marx Brothers. With his iconic oversized shoes, red nose, and trumpet, Harpo brought laughter to audiences around the world. Known for his wordless comedy and slapstick antics, he could convey a thousand emotions through his expressive face and physical comedy. Harpo's innovative use of props, such as his rubber chicken and the infamous whoopee cushion, added to the Marx Brothers' iconic humor. Off-stage, Harpo was a devoted family man and a talented musician, playing the harp and composing music.
