In a stunning color woodcut print adorned with his poem, he pays homage to this remarkable samurai warrior who defied societal norms and shattered gender stereotypes. As if stepping out from these ancient artworks themselves, three actors bring Wadai Yoshimori, Tomoe Gozen, and Yamabuki to life in vibrant color woodcuts from 1848-54. Their performances breathe life into these legendary characters once more.
