F3000, also known as the International Formula 3000 Championship, has been a breeding ground for future racing legends. From testing sessions to high-stakes races, these events have showcased some of the most talented drivers in motorsport history. Take a trip back to Le Mans in France on 28 September 1986, where adrenaline-pumping action unfolded during an intense round of the International Formula 3000 Championship. Pierluigi Martini piloted his Pavesi Ralt RT20/86 to a commendable seventh-place finish amidst fierce competition. The podium ceremony was a sight to behold as John Jones secured second place with Lola while Yannick Dalmas emerged victorious for ORECA. Michel Ferte claimed third position representing BS Automotive. These skilled drivers proved their mettle in this prestigious championship. One standout moment came when Jean Alesi triumphed under Eddie Jordan Racing's banner with his Reynard 89D-Mugen car, securing victory and etching his name into F3000 history books forever. But it wasn't just Europe that witnessed thrilling F3000 battles; Japan hosted its own Japanese Formula 3000 Championship which drew crowds from all corners of motorsport fandom. The Euro F3000 Championship also provided an exciting platform for aspiring racers across Europe to showcase their talents. Away from racing circuits, Bjorn Wirdheim took part in a lifestyle shoot that captured both his passion for speed and his charismatic personality outside of racing cars – proving that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to these extraordinary athletes.
