Elmer Sims Campbell was a talented artist whose work spanned various subjects and locations. From his powerful WWII color line poster to his depictions of landscapes and everyday life, Elmer's art captured the essence of different places and moments in time. Born in New Jersey, Elmer found inspiration in his surroundings, including an old Texaco gas station in the town of Elmer. His attention to detail is evident in his painting of the Stinson-Faucett F-19 OB-PAH-140 aircraft, showcasing both his technical skill and love for aviation. The peculiar rock formation became a subject for him and Bert Elias Underwood to capture its uniqueness through their artistic lenses.
