The Donington Historic Festival 2017 was a thrilling event that showcased an impressive lineup of classic cars and talented drivers. From the moment CM18 8011, driven by Chris Chilcott, Steve Futter, and their Frazer Nash Fast Tourer took to the track, it was clear that this festival would be one for the books. CM18 9712, piloted by Tim Jacobsen and Laurence Jacobsen in their MG B, added a touch of elegance to the race as they gracefully maneuvered through each turn. Meanwhile, CM18 8473 saw John Spiers and Neil Merry dominate the circuit in their powerful Ford Capri. Peter Ratcliff and Graham Scarborough also made heads turn with their remarkable performance in another Ford Capri. The Austin A30 Academy driven by John Cleland (CM19 0610) brought back nostalgic memories of racing's golden era while Simon Drabble's Sunbeam Rapier (CM18 9058) impressed spectators with its timeless beauty. The BMW enthusiasts were not disappointed either as Peter Mursall showcased his skills behind the wheel of his BMW 1800 Ti (CM18 8215). But it was CM18 9026 that stole everyone's attention - Sam Thomas and Colin Turkington skillfully handled the Lister Knobbly on every lap. Another highlight came from Peter Mursall again but this time alongside Daniel Mursall as they raced together in their iconic BMW CSLs (CM18 9353/9451/8490), leaving spectators awestruck. Barry Louvel's Triumph Herald Coupe (CM18 9098) exuded charm on every corner while Matthew Holme wowed crowds with his Alfa Romeo CSS (CM18 9127). Each car at the Donington Historic Festival told its own story; each driver left an indelible mark on history.
