Across borders lies Mexico where Miguel Hidalgo's cry for revolution echoed through Dolores on September 16th, 1810. This call ignited fervor among Mexicans seeking independence from Spanish colonization. Long before these events unfolded overseas; Puritans attempted to leave England during the early 1600s due to religious persecution back home—a precursor to the Pilgrims' journey.
