On January 26, 2022, various events took place at Camp Lemonnier that showcased the dedication and expertise of these individuals. U. S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Christopher Santos from North Andover exemplified the commitment to providing exceptional healthcare as he attended to his duties with utmost professionalism and compassion. During an address by U. S. Secretary of State John Kerry, he engaged with the audience by fielding questions, demonstrating his willingness to connect and understand the concerns of those present. His introduction was made by U. S. Army General Mark Stammer, Commanding Officer at Camp Lemonnier. Accompanied by General Stammer himself, Secretary Kerry toured the camp under careful guidance while passing a U. S flag proudly waving in honor of their shared mission. Emergency first responders were put through their paces during a simulated mass casualty event where they transported training dummies and attended to simulated victims with precision and efficiency. Their unwavering dedication ensures that they are always prepared for any situation that may arise. U. S. Navy Lt. Lucy Shi showcased her expertise as a flight surgeon at Michaud Expeditionary Medical Facility within Camp Lemonnier. Her role involves ensuring the health and well-being of military personnel who rely on her skills both on land and in air operations. Leading medical officer Cmdr. Michael Blair oversees all medical operations at Michaud Expeditionary Medical Facility, working diligently alongside his team to provide top-notch care for service members stationed at Camp Lemonnier. The commanding officer at Camp Lemonnier is none other than U. S Navy Capt David Faehnle who leads with integrity and determination while overseeing all aspects of daily operations within this vital base.
