Back in Cornwall's mining history, King Edward VII Mine stood proudly on South Condurrow soil on November 27th, 1903. The miners' perseverance echoed through every tunnel they carved out—a testament to human determination and resilience within Earth's depths. While moles may be small compared to mighty mineshafts or expansive deserts, these industrious creatures play a vital role in shaping our ecosystems. With unmatched precision and agility, they create intricate networks below ground level—nature's hidden highways connecting various habitats together. June 1908 brought another chapter to South Condurrow Mine's story—a tale etched deep within Cornwall's rich heritage. As miners delved further into the earth's embrace with each passing day, new discoveries awaited them—both treasures from Mother Nature herself and tales whispered by ancient rocks. From Wales to Western Australia—the wonders of burrows span across continents and oceans alike. An adult puffin guards its precious puffling at the entrance of their cozy abode in Wales while an adventurous mudskipper finds solace within a muddy burrow along Vansittart Bay's vast mud flats in Kimberley.
