In the late 1800s, Dr Williams pink pills for pale people claimed to cure a multitude of ailments, including bronchitis. Nursery appliances adorned with engravings depicted children suffering from this ailment, highlighting the need for effective remedies. As modern beauty culture emerged, curative throat massages were recommended through black and white photographs.
