"Barricade: A Symbol of Resistance and Protection" A pathway to the beach in Beadnell, Northumberland, England may seem like an unlikely place for a barricade. However, throughout history, these structures have served as powerful symbols of resistance and protection. Metropolitan Police officers faced a fierce battle during the infamous Battle of Cable Street.
